In chapter 4 it describes two different characters, Tom and Casy. Tom is kind of a oblivious man and was talking to Casy about his life in prison. He was put into jail because he was drunk, everything went wrong and he killed a man. It doesn't give a whole lot of information about that night, so it might pop back up later on in the story twisted around.
Casy was a preacher until he made bad choices. As a preacher he did somethings with three girls that was manipulative and wrong. He used his power for wrong and so he stopped preaching.
