Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely

SMART Goals Worksheet

Draft Goal:
 Our goal is to learn more about the species of sea turtles.


                                                                         Answers at time of development                           6 Month Update
Specific
  • What is the desired result? (who, what, when, why, how)

 Who: To learn about Sea Turtles
What: Sea Turtles
when: By the period that this project is due, preferably earlier than the due date.
Why: To learn about why the turtles are going extinct as well as their everyday life.
How:By the Internet and books

Measurable
  • How can you quantify (numerically or descriptively) completion?
  • How can you measure progress?
 Completing this project will probably take us the time period of  6 weeks.
We can measure progress by collecting all of our data and looking over it everyday.

Achievable
  • What skills are needed?
  • What resources are necessary?
  • How does the environment impact goal achievement?
  • Does the goal require the right amount of effort?
 Skills: Patience and computer knowledge
Resources: Computers, and books
Environment: We must be in a learning environment.
Goal: Yes

Relevant
  • Is the goal in alignment with the overall mission or strategy?

 Yes it is because it is a cool subject and I want to learn about it.

Time-bound
  • What is the deadline?
  • Is the deadline realistic?
 Deadline: Is in about 6 weeks
Yes it is because its not too long or too short and gives us enough time to work.



Final Goal:
To learn and to give us experience on new subjects and goal setting.
